Ingredients
- Unsweetened vanilla almond milk. Use any milk or nut milk alternative that you’d like.
- Maika’i Dried Fancy Medjool Dates. A healthy sugar replacement.
- Vanilla Greek yogurt. You can use plain Greek yogurt as well.
- Pumpkin puree. You can’t have pumpkin pie without pumpkin right? Be sure to get the plain one. Use store bought or make your own.
- Frozen banana. This helps to give the smoothie a creamy texture. You can opt to leave it out if you are not a banana fan.
- Pumpkin pie spice. Use store bought or make your own.
- Vanilla extract. Use store bought or make your own.
- Ice cubes. This will help give it a cool smoothie texture.
If you decide to be adventurous and make your own pumpkin puree, be sure to use the right pumpkins. Small baking pumpkins, also known as pie pumpkin or sugar pumpkin, work the best. The pumpkins that are used for carving do not work well for this.
You can also make your own pumpkin pie spice at home.
And if you don’t want to make your own you can totally get the store bought ones as well.
This pumpkin pie smoothie recipe also makes a good pumpkin pie smoothie bowl. Top it with all your favorite add ins and enjoy it with a spoon rather than a straw.
