Tips for delicious BBQ pulled pork
- Season your meat. This recipe is keeping seasoning simple, but you can always add other herbs and spices if you’d like.
- Sear the pork. Searing helps lock in flavor and create an extra layer of flavor. Trust me you won’t want to skip this step.
- Pull the pork. I use two forks, but you can also use a meat claw or a handy trick is using a hand mixer or stand mixer. Quicker and it does all the work for you.
- Be sure to have a great BBQ sauce. I mean this is BBQ pulled pork right?
This can also be made in the slow cooker or on the stove top as well.
How to serve Instant Pot BBQ pulled pork?
- On a bun. Make yourself a sandwich, top with coleslaw, and drizzle over your BBQ sauce. Portable, on the go, and utensil free.
- With sticky white rice. Turn this into your next dinner. Perfect for large or small portions.
- In tacos. Another great utensil free option. Customize your toppings to your liking.
How to store?
The best thing about pulled pork is the option to store it for later. Place in an airtight container and keep in the refrigerator or freezer.
How long will it keep?
BBQ pulled pork that has been stored in an airtight container will keep in the refrigerator for 3-4 days or in the freezer for 2-3 months. Perfect for meal prepping.
